MLSD Minister Receives Copy of the Book (AlAndaleeb in Bahraini's Heart)

His Excellency the Minister of Labour and Social Development, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, today received Dr. Essam Ismail Al‑Alawi, Director of the Training and Manpower Development Directorate, who presented him with a copy of his book The Nightingale in the Hearts of Bahrainis. The book gathers more than 150 personal stories and reflections in which citizens express their affection for the late Egyptian singer Abdel Halim Hafez, recounting the artistic creativity of the golden age of Arabic songs and the musical legacy he left behind. It thus documents the wider artistic and cultural renaissance of that era. Humaidan commended the publication, noting that it chronicles Bahrainis’ enduring relationship with Abdel Halim Hafez and captures Arab art as an integral part of the region’s history that deserves careful documentation. He praised the author’s effort in recording the impressions of the Bahraini public regarding a period regarded as one of the most significant in Arab music and song, and he reaffirmed the Bahraini people’s deep appreciation of Egyptian culture and art.
