His Excellency the Minister of Labour and Social Development, Mr. Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, met with Her Excellency Dr. Masooma Hassan Abdul Rahim, Member of the House of Representatives, at his office, where they discussed avenues to strengthen cooperation between the executive and legislative authorities for the benefit of citizens and the development of legislation related to service provision. The meeting reviewed the latest developments in the Ministry’s employment programmes and the enhancement of social welfare services. In this context, Humaidan emphasised the importance of reinforcing the principles of social responsibility and partnership to better serve citizens, particularly People of Determination—those distinguished by their resilience, resolve, and diverse capabilities. He affirmed that the Ministry is committed to protecting their rights and fulfilling their aspirations by enabling their integration into society, in line with the Government’s dedication to including them in the broader national development process. He noted that the Ministry continues implementing various programmes and initiatives supporting this group across all levels. For her part, Dr. Masooma praised the Ministry of Labour and Social Development’s ongoing collaboration with Members of the House of Representatives. She commended the Ministry’s sustained efforts to enhance its services, particularly the care and attention extended to Persons with Disabilities (People of Determination), who benefit from a variety of initiatives and programmes alongside other citizens. These efforts include facilitating their integration into private sector institutions and providing comprehensive social care—reflecting the state’s firm commitment to all segments of society.
