Meeting the four winners of the "Arab Youth" award after being honored in Cairo.. MLSD Minister Praises the Efforts of Bahraini Youth in Binging Positive Development in Society

On Thursday, His Excellency the Minister of Labour and Social Development, Mr Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, received at his office the Bahraini winners who secured four advanced positions in the Arab Youth Council Award for the Integrated Development of Distinguished Arab Youth, in its 12th edition launched by the Council in cooperation with the League of Arab States. The Bahraini laureates were recently honoured in the Arab Republic of Egypt among 30 winners from across Arab countries. The award recognises creative Arab youth for their national role in supporting and advancing their countries in all fields. His Excellency congratulated the individual and institutional award winners who represented the honoured entities. The Individual Work Award went to Dr Ali Ahmed Al Kharfoush, who won second place in the field of sports awareness, and to Duha Al Bashar Madani, who won first place in the field of volunteer work. The Institutional Work Award went to Khairiya Abdullah Al Dashti, Secretary‑General of the Bahrain International Federation of Business and Professional Women, for winning first place in the field of entrepreneurship, and to Ibrahim Rashid Al Naim, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Khalidiya Youth Society, for winning first place in the field of social work. During the meeting, His Excellency received a commemorative shield from the Bahraini winners, presented by the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Humaidan commended the outstanding results achieved by Bahraini youth through their participation in this competition, praising the efforts of volunteers who believe in their pioneering role in advancing society and promoting the Sustainable Development Goals, which are a key focus on the international agenda and which the Kingdom of Bahrain is committed to supporting. His Excellency emphasised the Government’s directives to empower Bahraini youth and civil society institutions to participate actively in national affairs and to provide them with the opportunity to engage in decision‑making, thereby bringing about positive development across all fields. In this context, he affirmed the Ministry of Labour and Social Development’s commitment to encouraging and supporting individuals and civil society organisations to develop their initiatives and projects, with a view to providing further motivation and progress to achieve the desired development goals. In turn, the winners expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Ministry of Labour and Social Development for its support of volunteer and social work, as well as for providing the resources and capabilities that contributed to this achievement. They noted that the award provided an opportunity to demonstrate the capabilities of Bahraini youth and the extent of their competence in all fields, and they affirmed their commitment to continuing to excel and innovate to raise the Kingdom of Bahrain’s profile in Arab and international fora.
