Aisha Mohammed Al Zayed, Director of Family and Childhood Development, confirmed that the summer programmes launched by the children’s and youth clubs affiliated with the Ministry of Labour and Social Development in July drew a strong response, with 1,243 children and youth of both genders participating. She noted that the clubs continue to deliver cultural, educational, and creative activities via videoconferencing technology. Al Zayed explained that, throughout August, the clubs are offering additional programmes, most notably Faith Oasis, Science Club, Photoshop designs, and Hair and Skin Care, alongside an Arabic Calligraphy programme delivered in person at the Sharifa Alawadhi Youth and Children Club, with all necessary measures in place to safeguard participants and trainers. She added that five training workshops will also be offered: Sign Language, Toontastic, Voiceover, Embroidery, and How to Organise My Time. She affirmed that the clubs help children and youth pursue their hobbies in an atmosphere of enjoyment and positive engagement. Summer activities run until the end of August for age groups from 7 to 17 years, and registration remains available through the Ministry’s official website: www.mlsd.gov.bh
