MLSD Minister briefs Bahrain's ambassador to Indonesia on coordination efforts with labor-exporting countries

His Excellency the Minister of Labour and Social Development, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority, Mr Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, met on Tuesday at the Ministry with His Excellency Ambassador Ahmed Abdullah Al Harmsi Al Hajri, following the issuance of the Royal Decree appointing him as the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia. During the meeting, Humaidan congratulated Ambassador Al Hajri on the Royal trust placed in his appointment, wishing him every success in his diplomatic duties to enhance cooperation between the two friendly countries. Humaidan also briefed the Ambassador on the Kingdom of Bahrain’s efforts to coordinate with labour‑exporting countries to safeguard the rights of workers and employers, while ensuring the optimal implementation of regulations that maintain balanced labour relations and a decent work environment consistent with international labour standards. For his part, Ambassador Al Hajri affirmed his commitment to protecting the interests of Bahraini citizens in the Republic of Indonesia, particularly with regard to labour recruitment and the related laws and regulations in force in Bahrain that protect the rights of all parties; he also underscored his resolve to strengthen frameworks for cooperation across various fields.
