MLSD Minister discusses with Engineering Offices Association the benefit of urban development and infrastructure projects to employ citizens of engineering graduates in various specializations

His Excellency the Minister of Labour and Social Development, Mr Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, met in his office with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Engineering Offices Association, Eng. Mazen Ahmed Al-Omran, along with several board members. The meeting discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation in providing appropriate vocational training for engineering graduates, and to facilitate and accelerate their integration into private sector establishments. During the meeting, the Association’s principal activities, programmes and initiatives were reviewed with a view to developing the engineering offices sector by providing technical support and contributing to the development of vocational education and training across engineering disciplines. The objective is to strengthen the Kingdom of Bahrain’s position as a centre for engineering consultancy, attract investment, and generate more job opportunities across the engineering professions. In this context, Humaidan emphasised that strengthening engineers’ skills and training capabilities enhances the competitive advantage of Bahrainis in employment, commending the Association’s efforts in this regard. He noted that the Ministry targets Bahraini engineering graduates for integration into the private sector in light of increasing demand from institutions and companies, particularly in the construction and building sector, as well as the electronic and electrical engineering sectors and other engineering branches. For his part, Al‑Omran emphasised the importance of cooperation with the Ministry of Labour and Social Development to accelerate the employment of engineering graduates in various disciplines and to provide vocational training that makes them the preferred choice for employment in engineering firms. He affirmed the creativity, excellence and dedication of Bahraini engineers in serving their country across workplaces and production facilities.
