His Excellency the Minister of Labour and Social Development, Mr. Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, met with the Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society President, Mrs. Ahlam Yousef Janahi, in his office. Mrs. Janahi presented His Excellency with a copy of the Society’s publication, 20 Years of Success, which documents — with photographs — the most important economic and social activities and events organised and attended by the Society since its founding in 2000 Humaidan praised the role played by the Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society in supporting and empowering women economically and socially, and in embracing pioneering Bahraini women, particularly owners of small and medium-sized enterprises. He stressed that the support extended to women by the esteemed Government, along with the efforts of professional and civil societies, has enhanced their participation in economic development, making them key partners in decision-making and driving the wheels of production and economic progress in the Kingdom. For her part, Mrs. Janahi praised the ongoing cooperation between the society and the Ministry, affirming the commitment of Bahraini businesswomen to attracting national talent from among female graduates, driven by their confidence in women’s capabilities and their proven excellence in the workplace. She also commended the Ministry’s programmes aimed at rehabilitating female jobseekers across various professional fields, taking their circumstances into account, while launching targeted initiatives and offering supportive incentives to ease their integration into productive roles within private sector establishments.
