MLSD Minister discusses with PM Bu Hammoud the legislation related to the development of labor and social services

Minister of Labour and Social Development Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan met on Sunday with Member of the Council of Representatives Mohammed Khalifa Bu Hamoud, who was accompanied by a delegation from the Bahrain Cupping Society. The Society thanked the Minister for including cupping practitioners among the categories benefiting from government support. Humaidan and Bu Hamoud reviewed ways to deepen cooperation between the executive and legislative branches, focusing on labour‑ and social‑sector legislation that delivers high‑quality services to every segment of society. Humaidan reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to advancing development‑service projects, sustaining job stability for Bahraini workers in the private sector, and expanding social‑protection programmes. He acknowledged the Council of Representatives’ role in supporting laws, proposals and initiatives that enhance labour and social services. In response, Bu Hamoud commended the Ministry’s efforts—particularly its actions during the current exceptional circumstances—to secure a decent standard of living for citizens and urged continued collaboration between the executive and legislative authorities.
