MLSD Minister briefs MP Masooma Abdel Rahim on the development of services provided to citizen

His Excellency the Minister of Labour and Social Development, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, received Dr Masooma Hassan Abdul Rahim, member of the Council of Reprsentatives, to review a range of labour and social priorities, foremost among them the expansion of services for people with disabilities and the deepening of effective partnerships among all stakeholders. Humaidan outlined the Ministry’s ongoing work to safeguard job stability for citizens across economic conditions and detailed current programmes that bolster social‑protection networks, with particular emphasis on inclusive initiatives that enable people with disabilities to participate fully in society. He stressed the need to extend care, rehabilitation and training services to this group on a par with those offered to other segments of the community. MP Abdul Rahim outlined a national initiative supporting holders of the people with disabilities card, which offers facilities and discounts through active private‑sector participation. She praised the Ministry’s services to citizens in labour and development fields, particularly those targeting people with disabilities, whether by fostering their integration into the labour market or enhancing their care. She also commended the close collaboration between the legislative and executive authorities in enacting laws that advance labour and social services across the Kingdom of Bahrain.
