His Excellency Mr. Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, Minister of Labour and Social Development, received Members of the Council of Representatives, Mr. Abdullah Khalifa Al Thawadi and Mr. Basil Salman Al Malki, at the Ministry. The meeting reviewed the Ministry’s current plans and measures to raise employment rates among Bahraini job‑seekers, particularly in light of Cabinet‑endorsed initiatives governing flexible work permits and the mandatory publication of private‑sector vacancies in local newspapers. Humaidan outlined the positive employment indicators recorded to date and explored forthcoming development opportunities designed to align with jobseekers’ aspirations and integrate them across the labour market’s technical and professional tiers. Al Thawadi and Al Malki commended the Government’s clear vision for expanding citizens’ employment opportunities amid the exceptional global circumstances and their economic repercussions. They noted Bahrain’s ongoing economic recovery, which is generating new positions and equipping national talent—especially in non‑traditional, technology‑driven sectors—with the skills required to thrive. The MPs also praised the Ministry’s broad range of labour and development initiatives that serve all segments of Bahraini society.
