Strengthening Bahraini and Egyptian cooperation in the fields of labor and social welfare

His Excellency Mr. Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, Minister of Labour and Social Development, met in his office with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Excellency Mr. Yasser Mohammed Shaaban. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations and advancing cooperation in the labour and development fields. Humaidan outlined the Ministry’s work to qualify and develop the national workforce, integrate Bahrainis into the labour market, and expand social protection and care for citizens. He highlighted Egypt’s support for Bahrain at international labour forums and praised Egyptian expertise that has contributed to the Kingdom’s progress, especially in education, legal and advisory services. Ambassador Shaaban commended Bahrain’s commitment to deepening ties with Egypt, noting the assistance provided to the Egyptian community and the Kingdom’s evolving labour and development legislation. He welcomed the Family Bank’s experience in supporting small projects and called for closer cooperation in vocational training, human resources development, support for vulnerable groups, and the growth of medium, small and micro enterprises.
