MLSD Minister discusses with MP Al-Salloum strengthening cooperation between the executive and legislative authorities

His Excellency the Minister of Labour and Social Development, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, met at the Ministry with His Excellency MP Ahmed Sabah Al Salloom, a member of the Council of Representatives. They discussed ways to strengthen cooperation on projects and initiatives that promote the employment of citizens, advance the social development system, and support initiatives that foster the growth of small enterprises in the labour market. Humaidan commended the Council of Representatives for supporting labour and development legislation and reviewed the Ministry’s key projects to integrate jobseekers into the private sector, along with its efforts to provide the necessary support to all segments benefiting from the Ministry’s services. He underlined the importance of enhancing cooperation between the executive and legislative branches to develop legislation and services provided to citizens. For his part, MP Al Salloom applauded the Ministry’s efforts, particularly its implementation of government policy aimed at ensuring a decent standard of living for citizens, delivering services efficiently, and its commitment to employing citizens seeking work. He expressed his aspiration to deepen cooperation with the House of Representatives to implement effective, high‑impact development plans and projects.
