MLSD Minister meets members of charity association Raising volunteer work to professional levels and empowering families economically

His Excellency Mr. Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, Minister of Labour and Social Development, met today, Sunday, in his office with Member of Parliament Mr. Mamdooh Abbas Al Saleh, in the presence of several members of the Board of Directors of the Daih Charity Society. The Society’s Chairman briefed the Minister on the latest developments in its programmes and on the investment and charitable projects that serve its members and residents of the area, while also promoting the values of volunteer work in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Humaidan affirmed that the efforts of charitable development societies reflect the Kingdom’s spirit of cooperation, encouraging volunteer work through the pioneering role of civil society institutions and their synergy with the esteemed Government in securing a decent living for citizens, while strengthening volunteer pathways in the private sector alongside civil society institutions. He underscored the importance of continuously developing work mechanisms within civil society institutions to achieve professional performance levels in volunteer tasks and goals, and to empower productive Bahraini families by financing self‑employment initiatives. Mr. Al Saleh and the Daih Charity Society’s board members praised the Ministry’s role in enhancing the performance of civil society institutions in social, voluntary and humanitarian fields and in facilitating procedures that allow them to fulfil their developmental and charitable missions, stressing that reinforcing community partnership generates initiatives that economically support Bahraini families and improve their standard of living.
