The Ministry of Labour and Social Development announces that, following the periodic review of developments and data and acting on the recommendations of the National Medical Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus (COVID‑19), attendance at government rehabilitation centres and centres affiliated with the Ministry, as well as nurseries, private training centres and institutes licensed by the Ministry, will be suspended from Sunday, 31 January, for three weeks, with all activities delivered through distance learning. According to these instructions, members of the administrative, educational and technical teams at the affected institutions are exempt from the suspension requirement, while attendance at private and community centres serving people of determination will continue. In this regard, the Ministry of Labour and Social Development underscores the need to follow the prescribed health and precautionary measures during these exceptional circumstances, reaffirming its commitment to safeguarding everyone’s health, maintaining a safe and healthy environment in all rehabilitation and training centres and protecting the wellbeing of all beneficiaries and staff.
