MLSD Minsiter briefs MP Hattab on the latest developments in employment initiatives and the social developmental service

His Excellency Mr. Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, Minister of Labour and Social Development, received His Excellency Mr. Abdulrazzaq Abdullah Hattab, Member of the Council of Representatives, at the Ministry. The meeting reviewed the latest developments in the Ministry’s labour and social welfare services, chiefly the acceleration of citizen employment in the private sector under the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to launch National Employment Programme 2.0. Discussions covered the Ministry’s readiness to implement the Programme in partnership with relevant stakeholders, integrating Bahraini jobseekers into private‑sector establishments while reinforcing executive‑legislative cooperation to advance sustainable‑development projects across the Kingdom of Bahrain. Humaidan briefed MP Hattab on the Ministry of Labour and Social Development’s preparations to ensure the success of National Employment Programme 2.0, noting that the Programme, under the direct supervision of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, will bolster and expand employment mechanisms. The Minister also reviewed ongoing initiatives aimed at enhancing social welfare for all demographic groups and segments. For his part, MP Hattab praised the directives of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to launch National Employment Programme 2.0, stressing the need for concerted national efforts to integrate citizens into diverse productive sectors of the labour market. He acknowledged the Ministry’s role in qualifying and employing Bahraini human resources, as well as its specialised social welfare services, including support for productive families that empowers them to achieve economic advancement and life stability. MP Hattab further underlined the importance of intensified cooperation between the legislative and executive branches to advance government initiatives that safeguard a dignified standard of living for all citizens.
