MLSD Minister Briefs MP Al-Rahma on Employment Efforts and the development of social welfare services

His Excellency Mr. Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, Minister of Labour and Social Development, received His Excellency MP Ghazi Faisal Al Rahma at the Ministry, where both sides explored avenues to strengthen cooperation between the legislative and executive branches for the public good. Discussions centred on national efforts to accelerate the integration of Bahraini jobseekers into private‑sector establishments and to enhance the social welfare services available to citizens, while reinforcing the role of civil society institutions in fulfilling their humanitarian and developmental mandates across the Kingdom. Humaidan briefed the MP on National Employment Programme 2.0, launched under the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him. He underscored the ongoing drive to meet citizens’ aspirations by expediting their employment in private‑sector establishments and maintaining unemployment within safe limits, stressing the value of close collaboration to achieve these national objectives. MP Al Rahma praised the fresh impetus provided by National Employment Programme 2.0 and lauded His Royal Highness’s commitment to safeguarding labour‑market cohesion and sustainable growth. He expressed confidence that collective cooperation will ensure the programme’s success and commended the Ministry’s work in advancing social welfare services for all target groups, thereby securing a decent standard of living for citizens.
