MLSD Minister Inssures the Importance of Continuing the Society's Efforts in the field of spreading the sciences of Qur’an

His Excellency the Minister of Labour and Social Development, Mr. Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, met at the Ministry with His Excellency MP Mamdooh Abbas Al‑Saleh, in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Thekr Al Hakeem Society for Quranic Sciences, Mr. Ali Mohammed Abu Tarif, and several members of the Society’s board. The meeting explored avenues of cooperation in development and social welfare, alongside the facilities and services the Ministry provides to civil society institutions, and considered proposals to further develop these services while addressing any challenges such institutions might encounter. Participants reviewed the Society’s objectives and work plan, aimed at deepening community engagement with the Holy Qur’an through diverse programmes, such as the annual Al Thekr Al Hakeem Competition, Tajweed courses, publication of Qur’anic books, and collaboration with bodies concerned with Qur’anic work, including cooperation with the Qur’anic League. Minister Humaidan praised MP Al‑Saleh’s initiatives and ongoing efforts to strengthen coordination with civil society institutions, enabling them to fulfil their charitable and social responsibilities. He underscored the importance of enhancing coordination with Ministry‑registered civil society institutions and removing any obstacles they face in line with applicable laws and regulations. MP Al‑Saleh and Mr. Abu Tarif, in turn, praised the Ministry of Labour and Social Development for its sustained work helping NGOs comply with regulations, thereby allowing them to serve Society neutrally, professionally and effectively.
