MLSD Minister Reviews with PM the Integration of Citizens in the Private Sector and the Provision of Development Services

His Excellency, the Minister of Labour and Social Development, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority, Mr. Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, met with the Second Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives, His Excellency MP Ali Ahmed Zayed, in his office. During the meeting, the Ministry’s projects were reviewed, foremost its programmes to qualify jobseekers and integrate them into a range of job specialisations within private‑sector establishments. The discussion also covered the Ministry’s efforts and the various services delivered through its social centres across all governorates of the Kingdom of Bahrain, which target diverse segments and categories of society in the areas of social welfare, services for the elderly and persons with disabilities, and the development of productive families while strengthening their role in society. Humaidan emphasised the importance of the Council of Representatives’ role in supporting legislation, proposals and initiatives that enhance and develop effective labour and social services for all segments of society, underlining the need to meet citizens’ requirements in these development areas in line with the directives of the esteemed Government. For his part, the Second Deputy Speaker praised the Ministry of Labour and Social Development’s efforts—particularly its implementation of Government policy aimed at ensuring a decent standard of living for citizens and delivering the best services—and highlighted the importance of reinforcing cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities to secure quality job opportunities and strengthen social protection for all groups within society.
