MLSD Minister Meets the former Director General of the Executive Office of the Council of Ministers of Labor and Ministers of Social Affairs

His Excellency the Minister of Labour and Social Development, Mr. Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, met in his office with the former Director-General of the GCC Labour and Social Development Councils executive office, Mr. Salem Ali Al Muhairi. Humaidan praised Al Muhairi's efforts during his service and his contribution to enriching and developing the work of the office, as it played an important role in developing ways to exchange experiences and expertise, and promoting joint Gulf work in the labour and development fields. He underlined the Office’s pivotal role in coordinating labour and social policies among member states and presenting unified Gulf positions in Arab and international forums, emphasising its importance in realising the aspirations of GCC leaders and peoples for comprehensive development, and expressed the Ministry’s keenness to maintain communication with Al Muhairi to benefit from his expertise in studying projects and activities among GCC states. In response, Al Muhairi affirmed Bahrain’s vital role in supporting joint Gulf action in labour and social spheres, highlighting the Executive Office’s success in intensifying GCC cooperation to develop labour markets, enhance social protection systems for citizens, and strengthen member states’ presence in Arab and international events and conferences.
