His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour, inaugurated the Annual Career Fair and Employability Forum at the university building, in the presence of Professor Riyad Yousef Hamzah, President of the Royal University for Women. The event was attended by institutions from the public and private sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain. His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa emphasised the importance of holding direct meetings with Bahraini students and youth and supporting initiatives that contribute to the qualification of national cadres and enhancing their professional competence. In this context, he highlighted the role of career guidance and counselling exhibitions in building effective bridges of communication between youth and employers. The exhibition featured various pavilions for several public and private companies and institutions, showcasing the types of jobs available in the Bahraini labour market and guiding students on the importance of choosing the most promising career paths in the market. It also included panel discussions and specialised workshops that addressed the future of jobs and professions in the labour market, required skills, and entrepreneurship. This was part of strengthening the role of career guidance among university students, graduates, and those interested in developing their university career paths. This exhibition is part of the national efforts and initiatives of the Ministry of Labour, in cooperation with various private education and training institutions and relevant authorities, to enhance the role of career guidance and enable Bahraini youth to explore career and training opportunities available in the labour market. This will help bridge the gap between educational outcomes and the needs of productive sectors and specialisations in the labour market.
