MLSD Minister: The Charter Has Responded to the Changing Challenges & Accommodated the Requirements of Comprehensive Development

His Excellency the Minister of Labour and Social Development, Mr. Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, extended his sincere congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, on the anniversary of the National Action Charter referendum, which was endorsed by a historic 98.4 per cent popular vote. Marking its twentieth year, this cherished national occasion remains ingrained in the collective memory, inspiring continued commitment to building Bahrain’s future. Humaidan affirmed that the National Action Charter initiated a prosperous era that entrenched democratic values, strengthened constitutional institutions and upheld the rule of law as part of the comprehensive development process led confidently by His Majesty. Guided by solid national principles, noble Islamic values and Bahrain’s long‑standing civilisation, the Kingdom advanced to new levels of progress and prosperity. The Minister noted that the Kingdom of Bahrain has achieved significant qualitative accomplishments across political, economic, social and sustainable human‑development fields, earning a distinguished global standing and joining the ranks of advanced nations in both human and urban development. He emphasised that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great King of the country, may God protect and preserve him has pursued an approach rooted in justice, tolerance and brotherhood, transforming Bahrain into a model of peaceful coexistence where human rights are safeguarded without discrimination—a reflection of its civil state and enduring cultural heritage. The Minister added that the National Action Charter has met evolving developmental challenges and played a pioneering role in supporting the Kingdom’s renaissance across diverse sectors. Through the Charter, Bahrain deepened the principles of competitiveness, justice and sustainability, fostering prosperity and elevating citizens’ living standards, guided by the leadership’s conviction that the Bahraini people are an inexhaustible source of creativity and national pride in the country of freedoms and law.
