MLSD Minister Confirms the Efforts to Increase Employment & Ensure the Stability of National Employment

His Excellency the Minister of Labour and Social Development, Mr. Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, met with His Excellency MP Mohammed Khalifa Bu Hamoud and His Excellency MP Ahmed Yousef Al‑Ansari at the Ministry to discuss ways of strengthening joint cooperation between the executive and legislative authorities in labour, development and social welfare fields, with the overarching aim of securing a decent standard of living for citizens and maintaining the quality of the Ministry’s diverse services for all segments of society. During the meeting, Humaidan reaffirmed that the integration of citizens into the labour market remains a Ministry priority, noting ongoing efforts to accelerate the qualification and employment of jobseekers in private‑sector establishments while keeping unemployment within safe and stable limits. He also outlined measures to enhance the stability of national workers and make them the preferred choice for employment, in addition to initiatives on social protection, support for productive families and the empowerment of NGOs in advancing development work across the Kingdom of Bahrain. For their part, MPs Bu Hamoud and Al‑Ansari commended the Ministry’s efforts to safeguard the stability of national workers in the private sector—especially under current exceptional health conditions—and voiced their support for ongoing steps to refine regulations and legislation within the Ministry’s remit, thereby helping to implement the esteemed Government’s directives to provide every citizen with a dignified life.
