MLSD Minister Briefs MP Al-Abbas on the Development of Labor and Services

His Excellency the Minister of Labour and Social Development, Mr. Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, met with His Excellency Member of Parliament Mr. Ammar Hussein Al Abbas, in the presence of residents of the Ninth District, Capital Governorate, to discuss several matters related to the Ministry’s remit and services. During the meeting, the parties reviewed the latest developments in the Ministry’s initiatives and programmes to qualify and integrate citizens into the labour market. They also examined the range of services delivered through the Ministry’s social centres across all governorates—covering social care, support for senior citizens and People of Determination, as well as the development of productive families and the strengthening of their role in society. Emphasising the importance of closer cooperation and coordination between the Ministry of Labour and Social Development and the Council of Representatives, Humaidan praised the Council’s role in supporting national legislation relevant to the Ministry’s work, thereby advancing shared sustainable development goals. For their part, MP Al‑Abbas and the residents of the Ninth District commended the Ministry’s efforts to implement Government policy aimed at securing a decent standard of living for citizens, noting the provision of quality employment opportunities and the enhancement of social protection for all segments of society.
