The Ministry of Labour and Social Development has announced the launch of a series of activities and programmes for children’s and youth clubs, organised by the Sharifa Al Awadhi Children and Youth Club, to be delivered via video‑conferencing technology for participants aged seven to seventeen, commencing on 1 March 2021. The Director of the Family & Childhood Development Directorate at the Ministry, Ms. Aisha Mohammed Al‑Zayed, explained that the training courses will be offered free of charge to children and youth who wish to participate. She noted that registration is available through the Ministry’s website (www.mlsd.gov.bh), by completing and submitting the designated form electronically. The courses will run every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday throughout the month. Al‑Zayed noted that the clubs’ programmes already include a wide range of activities delivered by experienced specialists to develop children’s scientific, cultural and artistic skills. Among the most prominent are technical programmes such as Photoshop and ToonTastic, religious programmes like Faith Oases, and the Science Club and sessions on the art of decoupage. She emphasised the Ministry’s commitment to offering opportunities that nurture children’s and young people’s personalities and refine their talents through diverse, purposeful content that aligns with their interests, supports their physical, intellectual and social needs, and equips them with technical skills in computer science and innovation.
