Occupational Accident Reporting

This service is provided to workers and employers to report occupational accidents and injuries at work sites, in accordance with the provisions of the Labour Law for the Private Sector No. (36) of 2012. Upon receiving a report, the investigation unit in the Occupational Safety Department investigates the accident, prepares a technical report, and sends it to the competent authorities.

    1. The accident or injury shall be the result of an accident that occurred to the worker during or because of the performance of work.
    2. The accident must have occurred at the work site or any sites affiliated to it, or during the period of his departure to start work or return from it.
    3. The injured worker must be employed by the employer referred to in the form during the time of the accident.
    4. The accident of death or serious injury must be reported within 24 hours from the time of the accident.
    5. Other injuries or vehicle accidents must be reported within 15 days from the date of injury.

    Reporting the serious accident by police stations, the Public Prosecution or entities subject to the Labor Law (establishments subject to the Labor Law must inform the Ministry of the occurrence of the accident within a specified period and fill out the reporting form).

    1. A copy of the personal identity (valid) of the injured.
    2. A copy of the contract concluded with the employer or establishment.
    3. A copy of the medical report of the accident.
    4. A copy of the social insurance report.
    5. A copy of the police station report.
    6. A copy of the facility's report on the accident.
    7. A copy of the attendance and departure statement of the injured worker.
    8. Fill out the occupational accidents and injuries reporting form and submit it to the Occupational Safety Department directly, or by e-mail to the department osd@mol.gov.bh .
