Bahraini-British cooperation to enhance cooperation and exchange of experiences in the fields of labor and social care

His Excellency Mr Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, Minister of Labour and Social Development and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority, met in his office at the Ministry with His Excellency Mr Roddy Drummond, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain, on the occasion of the commencement of his diplomatic tenure in the Kingdom. During the meeting, Humaidan welcomed the British Ambassador, praising the depth of the historical relations between the two friendly countries and the ongoing joint cooperation in all fields. He noted the United Kingdom’s long-standing expertise and existing cooperation across labour and social sectors, welcoming joint initiatives that add value to Bahraini‑British cooperation and underscoring the importance of following up and further developing them for the benefit of both countries. For his part, the British Ambassador affirmed his country’s keenness to strengthen bilateral relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain, noting the progress the Kingdom has achieved in various fields—particularly in regulating the labour market, protecting workers’ rights, combating human trafficking, and consolidating the principles of tolerance and coexistence under the prosperous reign of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the country’s great King, may God protect and preserve him.
