The Ministry of Labour and Social Development has completed preparations to hold the 35th edition of the ceremony to honour hardworking and outstanding workers and distinguished establishments, under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the country’s great King, may God protect and preserve him. The event, organised by the Ministry, will take place on Thursday, 12 December at the Bahrain Convention Centre, Crowne Plaza Hotel. On this occasion, His Excellency the Minister of Labour and Social Development, Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the ceremony, Mr Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, expressed his deepest thanks and gratitude to His Majesty the King for His generous patronage of this annual national event, which coincides with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s celebrations of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne and the glorious National Day. He affirmed that this patronage reflects His Majesty’s appreciation for Bahrain’s workforce, whose diligence and integrity drive national development across production sites, and recognises the role of private‑sector establishments in advancing the economy, development and the cultural renaissance witnessed during this prosperous era. Humaidan praised the efforts of the Supreme Committee in preparing and organising the ceremony, noting that it provides a strong incentive for the national workforce to excel and for establishments to deepen a culture of decent work across all production sectors. He underlined that honouring distinguished institutions strengthens quality performance, productivity, and joint efforts to attract citizens into a healthy, productive work environment that supports job stability and career development. He also commended the cooperation of the production parties with the organising committee, especially in the credible and transparent selection of honourees among workers and administrators. During the ceremony, outstanding workers and distinguished establishments from across economic and production sectors will be honoured under the following categories: prominent pioneers; distinguished establishments; small projects; distinguished administrators; supporters of persons with disabilities; persons with disabilities; workers in the informal economy; the oil and gas sector; the manufacturing sector; the transport, storage and communications sector; the banking, finance and insurance sector; the contracting sector; the trade sector; the hotels and restaurants sector; the social and other activities sector; as well as workers in hazardous occupations and in professions that Bahraini nationals have increasingly chosen and excelled in practising.
