Amabile Aguilos praises Bahrain's position as a regional center for training

His Excellency the Minister of Labour and Social Development, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority, Mr Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, met on Saturday at the Ministry with the Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of the Philippines to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, Dr Amable Aguiluz, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of labour and human resources development between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the friendly Republic of the Philippines. The meeting, held during Dr Aguiluz’s visit to the Kingdom, reviewed the two countries’ successful experiences in employment, qualification, and specialised technical training programmes and projects. On this occasion, Humaidan underscored the importance of strengthening joint action between the two friendly countries, particularly in the labour sector and in human resources development and preparation. He emphasised the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to developing and upgrading private training institutions to reinforce Bahrain’s leading position in human resources development and professional training, and noted the importance of attracting leading international expertise in education and training. For his part, Dr Aguiluz commended the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to ensuring and safeguarding the rights of migrant workers, noting the Kingdom’s strong reputation internationally for implementing advanced labour legislation consistent with national laws and aligned with international labour standards, as well as its standing as an advanced centre for training and human resources development.
