MLSD Minister meets the French ambassador and discusses with him the promotion of labor and development relations

His Excellency the Minister of Labour and Social Development, Mr Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, met in his office at the Ministry with His Excellency the Ambassador of the French Republic to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Mr Jérôme Cauchard. During the meeting, Humaidan welcomed the French Ambassador, expressing pride in the deep bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the French Republic and his keenness to develop prospects for cooperation between the two friendly countries. He briefed the Ambassador on labour‑market regulations and their development in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as the initiatives to attract investment that enhance the growth and stability of the labour market. He also outlined programmes that serve all segments of Bahraini society and strengthen social protection. In this context, the two sides discussed enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise to serve the labour and development sectors, and exchanging expertise in these areas to advance the two friendly countries. For his part, the French Ambassador praised the existing relations between the two friendly countries and their development and growth, noting the coexistence and tolerance witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain among all cultures and communities, as well as the progress and prosperity observed across various fields, particularly those related to women’s empowerment and employment, and the facilities provided to them in all areas.
