MLSD Minister meets with the Chairman of the Muharraq Charitable Society

His Excellency the Minister of Labour and Social Development, Mr Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, met at the Ministry with the Chairman of the Muharraq Charity Society, Mr Salah Bu Hassan. The meeting reviewed the Society’s most prominent activities and initiatives and its plans for implementation in the coming period, particularly measures to enhance the charitable assistance provided to needy families, as well as initiatives to support youth by offering educational and training activities to occupy their time. On this occasion, Mr Humaidan praised the role of the Muharraq Charity Society and the service, social, humanitarian and charitable programmes it provides in partnership with governmental institutions, noting the important role of civil society organisations in supporting the development process. He affirmed the Ministry of Labour and Social Development’s support for all efforts of civil society organisations and its work to overcome any obstacles they face, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. For his part, the Chairman of the Muharraq Charity Society’s Board of Directors noted the Ministry’s ongoing support for charitable and volunteer work, emphasising the Society’s commitment to launching distinctive initiatives aimed at advancing the progress of charitable work.
