The International Organization for Child Protection appreciates Bahrain's efforts in the field of supporting and caring for children

His Excellency Jameel bin Mohammad Ali Humaidan, Minister of Labour and Social Development, met in his office at the Ministry with the Director of the International Organization for Children Protection (INOCPT) in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Mr Salman Khalid Sabat Al Sebei. During the meeting, His Excellency reviewed the Kingdom’s efforts to strengthen child protection and services; advance the childhood and youth sector; and the Ministry’s programmes and projects to nurture children’s and youths’ creativity, alongside the dedicated care provided to children with disabilities. His Excellency affirmed the esteemed Government’s close attention to childhood‑related issues, aimed at securing further gains for this age group through social protection and enhanced levels of care. He highlighted the National Childhood Strategy as a framework for development at the legal, social, educational and cultural levels, and looked forward to further co‑operation with the International Organisation for Child Protection, including the exchange of expertise and successful experiences, to reinforce the protection and care of children, especially those with disabilities. In turn, Mr Al Sebei commended the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s efforts to develop, care for and protect children’s rights, and expressed hope to strengthen co‑operation between the two sides through work aimed at developing services provided to children at both the official and private levels.
