Depositing compensation amounts for raising meat subsidies during the first week of January

The Ministry of Labour and Social Development announced the completion of procedures to deposit meat‑subsidy compensation into the bank accounts of eligible citizens, in advance for January, February and March 2020. The Ministry stated that the amounts will be deposited during the first week of January, noting that this batch covers 165,310 Bahraini families, with a total disbursed amount of 7,020,895 Bahraini dinars. These compensations are disbursed quarterly as part of the mechanism for directing meat subsidies to Bahraini citizens, based on the Cabinet decision of May 2015 regarding the implementation of the meat‑subsidy mechanism for eligible citizens.
