MLSD Minister stresses the interest in not compromising the living needs of citizens

His Excellency the Minister of Labour and Social Development, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, received His Excellency Dr. Hisham Ahmed Al Asheeri, Member of Parliament, at the Ministry today, Sunday. The meeting considered strengthening cooperation between the executive and legislative branches in labour and social welfare services. During the meeting, Humaidan briefed MP Al Asheeri on the latest developments concerning the Ministry of Labour and Social Development’s various initiatives in the fields of labour and social protection for all segments and groups of society, particularly in light of these exceptional circumstances, and without prejudicing their living needs. He also underscored the importance of protecting the labour market system and maintaining its stability, in a manner that serves sustainable development in the Kingdom of Bahrain. For his part, MP Al Asheeri commended the efforts of the Ministry of Labour and Social Development in fulfilling its role of providing comprehensive development services in the fields of labour and social services to various categories and segments of citizens. He emphasised in this context the importance of cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities, given its positive impact in meeting citizens’ needs for the various development services provided by the Ministry to the targeted groups, especially during this period, through its digital platforms and through its centres in all governorates of the Kingdom.
