The Assistant Undersecretary for Labour Affairs at the Ministry of Labour and Social Development, Mr. Ahmed Jaafar Al Hayki, met in his office with Mr. Pakwan Asroopata, a representative of the Thattai Hindu Community, and Mr. Aruldas, a representative of the Indian Community Relief Fund (ICRF). They discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and coordination to provide care and support to Indian communities, especially workers affected by the current exceptional circumstances.
During the meeting, Al Hayki affirmed the Ministry's serious efforts to ensure the health and safety of expatriate workers and mitigate the negative impacts on them, particularly at this time. For their part, Asroopata and Aruldas commended the Kingdom of Bahrain's efforts in addressing this exceptional situation facing the world and Bahrain, praising the comprehensive healthcare and legal protection provided by the Kingdom's government to migrant workers.
