MLDS Minister discusses the stability and development of national labour with the CEO of Standard Chartered Bank

His Excellency the Minister of Labour and Social Development, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, received the Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Bank, Mr. Abdullah Abdulrazzaq Bukhowa, at the Ministry. The two sides discussed the status of the bank’s Bahraini workforce, the management safeguards in place to retain and support employees under all circumstances, and the bank’s training and career‑development programmes. Humaidan underlined that the professional competence, loyalty and dedication of Bahraini banking talent have driven the sector’s growth. He noted that the Government accords high priority to training citizens for financial‑sector careers, thereby cultivating nationally qualified cadres renowned for efficiency and excellence. He reaffirmed the Ministry’s readiness to preserve these national assets by offering incentives and bespoke training in partnership with banking institutions. Bukhowa, for his part, praised the Government’s commitment to the banking sector and expressed pride in the bank’s Bahraini employees, whose efficiency, productivity and professionalism he described as a cornerstone of both the institution and the wider industry. He also welcomed the Ministry of Labour and Social Development’s incentive schemes and training opportunities that empower citizens within the private sector.
