MLSD Minister confirms the support of the "deaf" category and the development of its capabilities to enhance its role in community service

His Excellency the Minister of Labour and Social Development, Mr. Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, received the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Deaf Society, Mr. Aqueel Ali, together with several board members. The meeting reviewed the Society’s ongoing activities and initiatives delivered in cooperation with relevant governmental and private entities. Mr. Aqueel Ali outlined key efforts such as workshops, training courses and seminars designed to fulfil the Society’s mission of caring for deaf citizens and easing the challenges they encounter so that they may lead their lives smoothly and productively, praising the Ministry’s constructive cooperation in advancing the Society’s humanitarian and social objectives. Discussions also focused on enhancing services for people with hearing disabilities in the Kingdom of Bahrain, presenting ideas and proposals aimed at improving their quality of life, facilitating daily activities, and promoting social inclusion. His Excellency Minister Humaidan underlined the significance of supporting people of determination, particularly the deaf community, noting that the Ministry of Labour and Social Development places this segment under its direct care. Providing tailored support, building capacity and nurturing their talents will optimise the utilisation of their energies, improve personal capabilities and raise professional performance, enabling them to contribute more effectively to national development.
