MLSD Minister Receives a Book from Al-Baharnah

His Excellency the Minister of Labour and Social Development, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, met with former Ambassador Mr. Taqi Mohammed Al Baharna, who presented him with a copy of his book “Ambassador Notes; Bahrain And The Arab Gulf In The Era Of Independence”. The book offers a documentary account by Al Baharna of the opening of Bahrain’s first embassy in the Arab Republic of Egypt, recounts the major events witnessed by Egypt between 1971 and 1974, details the Ambassador’s meetings with numerous ambassadors and leading political and cultural figures, and records every aspect of diplomatic work during that period. Humaidan praised the book’s content, describing it as an important record of the history of diplomatic work in the Kingdom of Bahrain, including the establishment of the Bahraini Embassy in Cairo and the parallel history of Arab events and figures who left their mark on that era. He also commended the author’s distinctive literary style, noting that the publication is a significant addition to the Bahraini and Arab libraries in general.
