THE Labour Ministry's fifth and final permanent employment and training centre was opened in Arad yesterday.
The centre, which was opened by Labour Minister Dr Majeed Al Alawi, will serve jobseekers in Muharraq and replaces a temporary centre set up at the Muharraq Governorate's premises.
One permanent centre now exists in each of Bahrain's five governorates, with the aim of making it as easy as possible for Bahrainis to find work.
"We want to treat job seekers as if they were customers," said Dr Al Alawi.
He said that delays in opening the Muharraq centre were the result of the ministry being unable to find a suitable location for it.
"We are currently in the middle of a National Employment Project, which will ensure that all Bahrainis who want to work will be able to find suitable jobs for them," he said.
Dr Al Alawi and other ministry officials toured the centre's premises and talked to its staff.
The employment and training centres will be used to register jobseekers, assess their skills, train them and get them jobs.
